Carolina Pelleting & Extrusion, Inc. is a privately held US corporation headquartered in The Danner Industrial Park in Newton, NC (about an hour’s drive north-northwest of Charlotte). The company was incorporated in 2000, broke ground in 2001 and was open for business in 2002.
The founder, Douglas Hicks, PE has over 40 years experience in solids processing including: pelleting, drying, feeding and extrusion/spheronization. We are known for our flexibility, innovation and a relentless pursuit of quality.
The company logo is a 60+ year old family trademark created by the founder’s father while attending photography school as a class project. Look closely and you can visualize an “H”, an “I” and an “X” that phonetically is the founder’s last name.
